Matthew Root, DO, is the founder of Innovative Pain and Spine Center in Toluca Lake, located in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. With dual board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as pain medicine, Dr. Root takes an integrative approach that incorporates each patient’s personal goals. He specializes in electrodiagnostic studies to diagnose radiculopathies (pinched nerves) and neuropathies (damaged nerves). Dr. Root has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Top Doctor award. He has published in nationally recognized medical journals in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation and presented his research at national meetings, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He’s a fellow of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and Rehabilitation and is affiliated with Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, Northridge Hospital Medical Center, and Glendale Memorial Hospital.
